Tried (and failed) to find the hoody and bottoms on a shopping trip Monday, so I'm gonna head to eBay later this week to source them.
Decals for the hoody can be made whenever, and added at a later point.
Gonna start working on the PKE tomorrow too.
I have an old backpack that can be repaired and adapted. Need to get a few things in the morning first though.
I have a wig I used in my Tails Doll cosplay, and the rest of it is just accessories that will be a piece of cake getting sorted.
Boom!
Let's do this ^_^
Painting the Tee with fabric dye was a disaster.
I eventually repaired the trainwreck of a design to something which looks close to what it should.
I also now have Yellow laces, and they are beautiful!
Still undecided whether to paint the fronts of my shoes white or leave them.
Anyway, at this point, I'm happy to declare the costume complete, however I'm not happy with my attempted photoshoot.
I'll try again to get photos of the finished cosplay at some point in the next couple of weeks.
I officially started work on this costume today.
I went out shopping for the components, hoping to get a few things gathered together.
What I didn't expect was to nail the whole lot in one shopping trip.
I found the perfect shoes and hoody in primark, replaced the [blue] laces with some white ones which will be dyed yellow. The trousers were found in H&M, the fabric paints in Hobbycraft. I already had the wig, but it's getting old now.
From here, I need to paint the design on the t-shirt, dye the laces yellow, possibly add grey detail to the hoody, and add the white t-shirt under the orange one in my final costume.
I'll be adding the costume in progress after day one.
Hoody, Shirt, Jacket, Trousers aquired.
Red cotton fabric added to both sides of zip, inside and out.
Also added to pockets.
Buttons added to jacket.
Costume Complete.
Will be no pictures till after Expo cause I didn't get time.
Shoes are finished!
Photo has been uploaded.
I've covered the trainers with a blue felt and painted the bottom areas grey.
Next is the light blue strip, yellow tops, which i will secure on one side with velcro.
New plan!
Bought some headphones for £2.99, took the wires and mic off, sanded it down, and am now in the process of spraying it green.
found a hat, just need to put the white panel onto it, which i'll make out of card and white fabric.
still need to paint onto the polar star, and i have the gloves!
Now all that i have left to buy is a bit of green fabric for the bandana. it's just putting stuff together.
Cake!
I have a makeshift headband with cans sort of constructed, still need to strengthen that and add some foam, drill holes for the antennas then spraypaint it all.
Going to look for a red cap later today, as well as some green fabric.
I have practically everything else. just need to add a white star to the polar star in acrylic paint.
