8th March 2009: Patterns Patterns are truly a pain to make, especially when the reference pics don't show excatly how the finished item is supposed to look like. Well, hello artistic freedom! XD Managed to finish the pattern for Asta's front armour. Just shoulder, elbow and ribbon pieces left to do. But I won't make the pattern for those untill I've made the jacket.
7th December 2008: And so it begins I've been out shopping, and I've found most of the fabric I need (like a wonderful royal blue for the jacket and hat =D) and the beads I need for some details on the hat and collar. Have also bought some of the red jewels that seem to be all over Asta's outfit o.O I emptied the shop, but I still need about twice as much as I've got XD Also need to find some that are about twice as big.. The ones I've got now are about 1,5 cm in diameter.
Btw, does anyone know the name of those jewels? They look like diamonds on one side, are flat on the other, and has a small hole on each side so that it's possible to stitch them to fabric. I need a name for them so I can see if I can find more in eBay... =S
