4th November 2010: Still not complete I got to use this dress for the Oct Expo, but there's still a lot to do on it. The most important things are the belt and the trimming around the neck. Will be done asap.
26th October 2010: Progress! I just noticed my last journal was about not finding the right fabric, so I guess I should update with saying: fabric has been found! Fabric has been cut out and the dress is now in the process of being put together ^__^ The yoke proved to be a pain. I'm really not used to sewing fancy stuff like that. But it's almost done now, and hopefully it will look all right :) Belt pices are about 50% complete. So Eowyn should be complete for Expo! :D
17th October 2010: Setback Bah, I was hoping I would be finished with the dress when this weekend was over. No such luck. I spent several hours looking for the lighter green fabric for the front panel of the skirt, the yoke and for lining the arms. I bought some fabric I thought might work, but I wasn't happy with it. And now I'm not happy with it at all! So before using this fabric I'm going to have another look for a more suitable fabric tomorrow.
At least I'm done with the planning and pattern making. And I've cut out several of the dark green pieces. Fingers crossed I'll find some better fabric and can get this show back on the road tomorrow!

I've about half-done with the belt pieces. Dress sewing will commence tomorrow! ^__^
